I usually don’t make a post about a single tree I saw recently but this tree was simply spectacular.
Its scientific name Malus angustifolia hints at the fact that it should be known for it’s fruit in the apple family but it’d be a mistake to plant this for anything but it’s spectacular spring show of flowers.
We were in a park in Smyrna for a photoshoot last weekend and this number was swaying by the lake. We spent (or, I forced Jeremy to spend) 15 minutes just photographing and hanging out under this tree. It’s a different experience in the warm sun, with a soft breeze and the flowers in motion.
