No Denying It

The signs of fall are pretty much all around us down here in Georgia. It looks like we’re going to have an actual fall season so I’m looking forward to some beautiful fall colors.

I get kind of nostalgic every Fall because I remember the days I’d walk through my university campus and the colors would just be spectacular. I’m going to plan at least one trip into the mountains. Maybe overnight so I can catch a fall mountain sunset and sunrise.  I’ve never camped out. I don’t know if I’d like it much with things like bugs and animals and having to use the bathroom in the woods but maybe I can deal with it for a few good shots. How else am I going to prepare for all these amazing treks I have planned in my mind?

Purty. I know what you mean about the colors of fall on campus. So gorgeous, I miss them too.

Don’t be afraid of camping, it’s amazing. Just think about all the things you’re missing out on: the sounds of the forest at night, as you’re falling asleep or waking up; the tranquility of being completely away from civilization (although you don’t have to be, a lot of campgrounds in GA offer bathrooms and even showers, grills, etc.) I highly recommend it.

I live in the land of palm trees. Not much sign of fall here, if only the fact that the palm trees have dried out in the summer heat and now look kind of bleak. Also, we had a cold week last week (after a heat wave of 100+) but it’s warming up again. Actually, there were two or three rainy days which is obviously uncommon for LA so it really did feel like fall for a while there.

I know. I just need to get over myself and go. I’ll probably have a great time.
And don’t complain about warm weather!! I love palm-tree warm weather! :)

Yeah I hate the comments part of wordpress. It’s so clunky. I couldn’t find a plugin that does modal comments but I did find this ( http://thri.ca/archives/425 ). I’ll probably just implement it myself since the instructions are pretty straightforward.
