I’m seeing a lot of lavenders and pinks this flowering season.
I caught this while taking a walk in my neighborhood the other day. The little veins in the petals are mesmerizing. I’m also learning to shoot at f/8 on the 55m end of my kit lens. I almost never use my kit lens because the predecessor to Canon’s current 18-55 was fairly unimpressive and I’ve carried that bias across to this lens too. Truthfully, this lens is a far better lens. It focuses more closely, the IS gives you almost 3 stops worth of extra handling light, and it’s pretty tack sharp at f/8.
I’ll be attempting to use it more over the coming months, hopefully.
