Every year I try and capture the beautiful autumn scenes here in Georgia. Often times I feel like people miss taking the time to go see them at peak – and they assume only the northern states have the hauntingly beautiful fall forests worth visiting for their autumn transition.
We centered around Unicoi and since it was a misty day, the warm colors really popped! Mustards, rubies, and sages everywhere – basically my favorite decorating colors.
We were lucky enough to get some rain bolstering the water features as we walked up to Anna Ruby Falls.
And finally the falls themselves emerged from the mist.
After enjoying it for a while, we walked back. There’s a lake at the entrance to the park – and the waters were so still.
I am a sucker for gorgeous reflections. The area around the lake was also deserted since it was a federal holiday – but one that most workers don’t get off generally.
Until next year, beautiful North Georgia!
